How did you "propose" to your Maid of Honor?

For those that have a MOH, how did you ask her (him?) to take on that role? I've found some cute ideas on Pinterest, but I'd love to hear from you all.

    It was just expected. I didn't even ask her (my sister) to be my MOH over the other BM, it just happened.

    I'm pretty sure I texted the others. Not a fan of the "proposing" to the bridal party.

    I didn't she assumed she was and we just went from there. She is my best friend and i'm marrying her brother (she was my friend first though) so it is a no brainer

    I made my sister a binder with a calendar in it that said "Maid of Honor" on the front, and I gave it to her, though she's probably lost it by now. I snail-mailed my BMs a little note card that said "Will you be my Bridesmaid?" on the front and wrote a little note on the back asking them. They loved it, and both said yes right after they got it Smiley smile
