Lucas and I met at a Cub Scout Camp when I was 15 and him 16! We were best friends for 4 years before finally getting together. We've been together for three years now and I couldn't be happier! He actually proposed to me where we met. Smiley smile

I met my fiancé on an online dating site. Two weeks later we met in person at the mall. We started our first date off getting Starbucks and thats when it hit me that he could be the one..cause we ordered the exact same thing. Lol We walked the whole mall twice before we finally sat down to talk. We've now been together four years now.

I worked a summer job at a seafood restaurant in Maine and he worked for the company that supplied our lobsters. My boss was married to his boss and they set us up. Our first date was a picnic on the pier right when I was done working.

We technically met in middle school, that is when I actually knew who he was. We were in drama club in choir together and had speaking parts together in some of our school's plays. However, when I was interested him in romantically was our senior year of high school. We had English and Chinese together and that was when I really got to know him and knew I wanted to date him. 2 years later, we're engaged!

I was an officer in something like a gay straight alliance in college and one of our regulars brought him in to do sound for our guest speaker one day. We both saw each other and felt something but I assumed he was gay and he assumed I was lesbian. I ran into him again at a Westboro counter protest I was leading a few weeks later but we didn’t really talk. Then I had promised to read tarot for the same regular who had brought him to both events, and he asked if I’d read for his friend instead, who was really fascinated by tarot and said it would basically be like Christmas for him. So my future husband showed up at my shared apartment one day in a jacket and tie to have his cards read. I was in pajamas listening to Tom Waits when he arrived, my hair wasn’t even brushed, I was boiling water for tea, and when he came in the first thing he said was “I never really got into Tom Waits.”
He asked the cards to help him get over his ex-girlfriend, and the last card that came up in his reading was The Lovers. We didn’t really know what to make of that, but he offered to make me dinner at his apartment (sandwiches and chips) to thank me for the reading, and we hung out till 2am playing songs for each other (we’re both musicians), talking, and getting him into Tom Waits.

Four days later he said “I love you” moments before our first kiss, and we’ve been going strong for just over six years since then.

We met through friends. We were both looking for love, but having no luck. Our friends, who work together, decided to play matchmaker once they found out we were both unhappy in dating. My husband connected with me on FB and got straight to the point, asking me out right away. About a week later, we went on the best first date we both ever had and the rest is history. The two friends who set us up married us.

FH's dad was the new principal at our school in 7th grade, so that's when we meant. And then we started dating our junior year of high school, and then went to college together after that.

My FH and I met in college. We were both engineering majors and I was LITERALLY the only girl in class. The two of us always had an easy time talking but were both dating our high school significant others so I never really thought of him as anything other than a classmate. We reconnected before we started our sophomore year of school (and were both single) and have been together ever since! He always says he snagged the "best looking girl in class"...easy when I was the only one at the time Smiley winking

We went to the same college. It was a community college in a very small town. I saw him one day from far away, maybe 40 yards or so. I was with a girl and I asked her, “Who is that cutie?” And she told me that she went to high school with him and confirmed he was single. I was planning on making my move later. Little did I know I’d get the chance later that day. I was at lunch with some girls in my Anatomy Lab class and we chose a small pizza joint that was family owned. They gave students a 20% discount so it was cheap. All 6 of us walked in and there he was, at the buffet fixing his plate. So after I fixed my own plate and sat down with the girls, I said to one of them, “He is sooo cute. I am gunna talk to him later.” Next thing I know my friend grabbed a napkin and started writing on it, then she proceeded to stand up and take the napkin over to Josh and hands him the napkins, says words that I couldn’t make out, then came back and sat down. She said, “I gave him your number thank me later,” I was so embarrassed I couldn’t even look over there to his table... on the way out, I stoped by his tables and looked down and asked him, “So... you gunna call or text me?” He looked at me and smiled and said, “Maybe.” I nodded and nervously trotted off. 15 minutes later as soon as I got back to class, I got a text from a number I didn’t have saved that said, “Hey.” I knew who it was. Thus began our love story 9 years ago! Smiley smile

We technically met online! He posted an ad online looking for a roommate after his separation and I was browsing the apartment section looking for a new place to live due to my recent breakup. We met in person the following day for me to check out the apartment and for him to ask me a few questions about work and habits. We became fast friends, had a lot in common and started hanging out together. We were very happy with each other's company and decided to date. Being a single mother, someone who loves kids and is kind and respectful is a must. He was all of those things and more, he isn't shy to sit down with the kids and play with them. I knew I had found the right person for my family. 3 years later he proposed and I said yes and here we are!
