How did you know your dress was The One?

I've been dreading going wedding dress shopping because I haven't lost any of the weight that I wanted to. I'm plus size and was worried I wouldn't find any samples that fit. I've been dreading going wedding dress shopping because I haven't lost any of the weight that I wanted to. I'm plus size and was worried I wouldn't find any samples that fit. Yesterday I bit the bullet and went to David's Bridal. My consultant was great and pulled dresses that worked for me. I was torn between two but ended up putting a deposit on one of them. They said I have 2 weeks to change my mind and get my deposit back.

Here's the problem though...the dress is gorgeous, I feel great and confident in it. But I didn't have that "omg, this is my dress" moment. I know I'm not going to cry and get emotional (that's not me) but I feel like I should know its definitely the one. I think I'm holding back because it's the first dress I ever tried on and I want to look a little more to make sure it is the one. Anyone else experience that?

I didn't have that emotional reaction either, and I'm a cryer! I would suggest for you to go out and try more bridal shop. They have more plus sizes than you think. I decided on mine by weighing out prices, what's appropriate for my venue, and chose from my favorites from there.

I hate when people say this, but it's so true. When you know, you know. For me, I didn't want to take it off and I didn't want to look at or try on any other dresses because I loved it so much.

This gown is beautiful on you!! ❤ I only went to one boutique for about 3 1/2 hours. Private showing. I NEVER cry, but when I put my gown on, I DID!! I was shocked. It wasn't a big boo hoo, but I had a few tears running down my cheeks. I just want you to love the gown you purchase.

The dress is beautiful on you, I love the back of it! I tried on several dresses and liked many of them but wanted to keep looking so I felt like I was thorough. I did not have immediate tears right when I put the dress on, but I think it was when the boutique saleswoman had taken a picture and showed me I remember tearing up and really feeling like it was the one (looking at photos of yourself in the dress I think allows you to view it in a different way versus looking directly in the mirror). And it’s ok to look at more dresses and go back to this one and you may then after seeing others know which one is right for you! Tear may or may not be included lol but it won’t make the dress any less special 💙💙!

Thank you!!! I gave the dress a 9 out of 10 when I tried it on. I do love it. I just feel like something is holding me back from fully committing and getting excited. Maybe because it was the first one I tried on?

It could be! If the bridal boutique would have let me try on my gown first, I'd probably not tried on the other 10 or 11. They made me keep that one until last. Ha! Ha! I told them what I wanted and it fit my description perfectly. If you are concerned there is a 10 out there, then by all means go look. Then you'll know if the one you chose is THE ONE! ❤ Best of luck!!
