For those of you ladies who have gotten their dresses, how did you know it was “The one”?? For those of you ladies who have gotten their dresses, how did you know it was “The one”?? I’ve only been to 2 stores to try on dresses, both times unplanned (The first time, my mom convinced me to stop into the bridal store in her hometown real quick and look at dresses, then her and the sales lady roped me into trying on a few. The second time I went with my cousin for her final fitting and there was nobody else in the store so I tried on some dresses). So I haven’t had an actual appointment at a store with a consultant to try on dresses yet. However, when I did try on dresses on those two occasions, I had zero excitement for any dress I put on. Like none. I am completely open to the idea that maybe it was because these were not planned appointments and I was not REALLY looking and planning on buying a dress that day. Also, I recently had surgery and have gained nearly 50 pounds! So my body is definitely not the shape I am used to it being, and nowhere close to how I want it to look during my wedding. So that may also be playing into the lack of excitement when trying on dresses. I am just wondering how you ladies knew the dress you picked out was the one? Did you have an unmistakeable feeling when you tried it on that this was the dress? Was there lots of excitement?

Thanks Tamera! I am going to schedule a real appointment and be open to trying on lots of different styles. Hopefully one will feel “right” 🤞🏻

Thank you ladies SO much!!! I was about to settle for a dress that I did not love or feel special in at all because I didn’t think I’d know which was “the one” and that one was on sale. After reading about all of your experiences, I am definitely going to schedule an actual appointment and wait until I feel beautiful in a dress!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I was at my highest weight and i still found my dress...i tried on 4-5 dresses on at DB and left bc the consultant was so rude so i was in a down mood about shopping for one for while so then when i got in the mood again it was 6 months before wedding and i tried on 12 dresses at my appointment ...my 12th dress was the ONE it made me cry i was so happy and felt so beautiful in it and alterations can be made if you lose the weight like i did i lost 45 lbs and now the dress looks even better on me and just makes me more in love with it everytime i try it on...youll know when its the one youll just know

My mom and my dad where both there when I find my dress. I was not excited about it and was not really looking for my dress and I was just a walk-in.But my mom said I came out glowing. I felt sexy and beautiful in it and could see myself walking down the aisle to my mate. I have things about my body I hate to. but my dress shows all the right stuff. Just go in a store open minded and while trying on dresses ask yourself do I see myself walking down the aisle in this dress. I would recommend take people who truly know you. That would be a big help when pick the one you want
