We have nearly 100 families we want to invite, and I don't know much of FH family very well as they are in another state...but they all will be expecting an invite. Is a FB post tacky?

A FB post is tacky. I asked my mom and aunt for family contacts, for friends I just sent them a text asking for their address. I'm sure they can help.

Calls and texts... it took about two weeks to get everyone to send or email addresses.... it was very time consuming and took a lot of patience on my part cause FH is slow about doing things...

My mom had most of them, my grandma the rest. As for his side, I got lucky that his sister got married last year, so she had all the addresses and I got her spreadsheet!

I asked the last person who got married on each side of the family for their list. There was only a few I had to contact for updated ones.

I send a Facebook message to my family all in one and gave them the option to post in the message or send me a text message with their address. I contacted my friends separately. With my FH's side I looked to his mom for the list and addresses on that side!

My dad's rather large side of the family, and as business people, like to communicate through email, so I sent a mass email out to them letting them know the date and asked them for their addresses. Now I have half of my addresses. I'll probably contact some people through Facebook Messenger, and if I have their numbers, I'll call or text. I have also gotten addresses from my mom, my sister, and my MIL.

I mean just ask them. Call or text.

Asked everybody. Half of them asked for our address too.

I really don't think it's common anymore to know everyone's address.

Postables has been a life-saver for me! Send out a link, people fill in their own information, and you've got all your addresses. The only problem I've run into with it, is that people don't always fill in their kids' names, and if I don't know them, it can be awkward.
