How Did You Decide On a Wedding Date?

My fiancé and I picked our date because it’s sentimental to us. Our date is November 18, 2022 which will be exactly ten years from our official first date.

We Want make are day special so we decided make his dad part of it too even know he not here us anymore so we are doing May 13 because of his dad that was his dad birthday month and day was day that he married his mom

We didn't really pick a date or like thinks just feel in line. Venue we like and month we wanted had the 15th only. He asked me out on 15th but we didn't meet family until the next 15th. Are daughter was born on the 15th as well.

Our anniversary is June 22 but we want a Saturday wedding. So picked the first Saturday after our anniversary

We are wanting a destination wedding and we’re wanting to have in Cancun. We researched the weather and when it would be best to visit Cancun. We narrowed it down that way and chose our date.

Based on COVID, venues near us filled up FAST. We had limited options. We chose our date based on availability

We knew what month we wanted but went off what the venue had open. So we decided July 31st. Which is perfect. We started dating on August 1st so it just worked out so perfectly.

We technically will be married on our 3 year anniversary, July 5th of next year. We decided that was the best date to get married because we love the date and didn’t want to memorize a new one.


But our reception will be August 6th, just because that’s what made sense to us with the children visitation schedule and what we could afford, etc.

We still haven’t decide a set date we are trying to do our wedding in a cruiseship so we are waiting for everything to be more calm down with the delta and everything

We had our pick of most dates next year outside of September once we found our venue. Since a lot of the venue are is outdoor views, we wanted knew we wanted late summer, but at a time when we knew our guests had time. With September out, October means the school year and a lot of our guests (teachers and people with children) would be less able to travel so 8.27 seemed easy with plenty of time to plan. Warm days for me and cooler evenings for him.

We got married when I was 6 months pregnant with our 2 year old son. We got married on September 10, 2018. That was also my great grandma’s birthday and her wedding anniversary. We are renewing our vows and having the traditional ceremony and reception on our 5 year anniversary 09/10/2023.

Me and my fiancé met on June 23. Plus his birthday and our sons birthday is on the 23rd. Not in June but still… all the good things happened on the 23rd so it seems like the perfect date for us 🤪

Mine is 10/13/23 I picked this 1. For the Friday the 13th in the fall. 2. Because I was going to be in grad school so I had time to finish and plan. 3. So that we had been together four years then engaged four years. 4. Also 10 +13 =23.

We chose the middle of the year where the month is my lucky number 7 (July) and the day is the same as the one we started dating (1/20/2017) and then the year was basically decided for us 😂

We are honestly not set on a date. I think I've changed it 3 times so far. First I had my heart set on April because I love Spring. Then I had to change it to later in that year because my nephew will be graduating high school May of that year so it wouldnt be logical to take time out of work 2 months in a row. So we changed it to the 1st or 2nd week of November so my fiance would never forget it since it would be close to his birthday. Then yesterday we decided to change it again because November would be too cold. So right now we're looking at Sometime in September to early October, depending on what dates are available with the venue we choose.

We picked a couple months we wanted to get married in based on our favorite seasons. Then found our venue and decided based on how long we wanted to wait and went for the sooner month and their open day was June 5th.

He said pick between February or April and then a date. I chose April then the next available Friday at my venue of choice. He is saying whatever I want but I know he will become a groomzilla by January 🤣
