We are paying for the wedding ourselves but when it comes to the honeymoon we are clueless on where to start paying for it. We don't have enough credit to put it on our credit cards because our honeymoon will cost more than what we are approved for. We will be setting up a honeymoon regesry but we won't get those funds until after our honemoon has to paid for. I know this is a very personal question but I would really like your advice.

We paid for our wedding ourselves, so we didn't end up having the money for a honeymoon initially. After the wedding, we were fortunate enough to receive monetary gifts from family and friends and that is what we used to go.

We received help from family for the wedding. And we're paying for the honeymoon ourselves. We've been as good as can be with paying for most in cash.

We are waiting to go on our honeymoon until DH's house sells and we finish moving all his stuff to our new place. We will pay for it ourselves, but also use some of the gift money we received. We will most likely do a culinary-themed cruise on Celebrity to Alaska in August. I'll run the charges on the credit card for the points, but pay it off immediately. Should be about $5K once all is said and done.

We are getting married in August and not going on our honeymoon until October. You can always delay the honeymoon a bit, or go on a mini moon, or use honeyfund. There are lots of options out there.

We are doing a small trip, for a couple of days to a theme park a couple hours away (roller coasters! wooohooo!) and then doing a more traditional-lay-on-the-beach-for-a-week honeymoon next year, so we can save and pay cash.

We already paid for our flight. The hotel we're getting $1050 in Hyatt certificates with my credit card points. We had Hyatt Gold passport points to cover a night, plus we got a stay deal for 4 nights 1 night free and free breakfast. Out of $4200, we're only gonna have to pay about $1800.

I would suggest save up as much as you can for your wedding and honeymoon and if you don't have enough just postpone it and go somewhere cheaper for like a few days. That is what me and my fh are doing, we want Australia but are gonna settle for a trip to his home in Puerto Rico which will cost awhole lot less.
