How are drinks (non-alcoholic) being served at your reception venue?

NaShara and Milton, on April 2, 2015 at 9:04 AM Posted in Planning 0 16

In cups or cans? My venue had asked since we are allowed to bring in our own beverages and/or liquor and I haven't given it much thought =/ I know cups are more appealing but cans are logistically easier to serve.

ETA: Reception is formal.

Mixed drinks will be in cups.

It's the soda/water etc they're asking about

If I had to do this, I would do nice cups, like those clear plastic ones that kinda look like glass. Red solo cups or cans just seem so informal to me. But if your wedding/venue is informal then it would be fine.

Ours is pretty informal, and we plan to have 2 liters of soda at the bar so they will be served in cups.

We're just have tea and water at ours and our caterer is doing that and then our bartender is doing our alcohol and our virgin mimosas. If you have a bartender you could give them the cans and have them pour into cups.

We are doing water goblets on the tables for everyone. We are providing our own drinks too and we are doing real wine glasses and champagne flutes and then plastic cocktail cups for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

If the wedding is formal, definitely cups. I would feel weird being dressed up, at a nice venue, and then drinking out of cans.

Glasses, people who want non-alcoholic drinks (besides water) will have to go up to the bar also.

We have a lot of people that don't drink at our wedding (including us!) so we will have a gourmet local coffee and tea bar and sodas available at the bar. We're only serving beer and wine as far as alcohol.

Oh I just realized maybe this meant what we would serve them IN. Haha. Tea & coffee in mugs and soda in glasses Smiley smile

My caterer is providing lemonade, water, and coffee. I asked if the lemonade would have pulp. When she said no I was like good I can rent 2 punch fountains. The water will be in glass beverage dispensers with stands and coffee will be in urn. She will have clear nice plastic cups for all my beverages. Depending on how we are doing with the budget I may buy goblets for the water to sit at the tables.

We are having bottled water and soda, apple cider, and a coffee and mulled cider bar. I'm actually assuming the soda and apple cider are single containers along with the bottled water. It's all being done by the caterer.

We will be using the clear plastic cups (the ones that resemble glass but aren't).
