For those that live together, how do you divie up house responsibilities? Do you do chores together or are certain people responsible for specific things? Sometimes I feel like I take on majority of the cleaning and it feels a little uneven. Mostly always having to do the dishes and laundry is a bit frustrating.

We don't really specifically divvy it up but we both help. We'll split dish cleaning duties after dinner. I usually water the plants and I wash the towels and sheets (we both do clothes laundry). FH usually does more of the cleaning around the apartment but that's mostly because his tolerance of clutter is lower than mine. Smiley xd

I definitely take on majority of the household chores as I am home with our children during the day, not to say that is a simple job especially when you have an 8 year old, who is a big help, then a 18 month old and a 5 month old. And my fiancé understands that. He still helps with the kids when he’s home and gets up for night feedings. He pretty much takes care of he outside, grass cutting, power washing etc.
There are times i get frustrated because I feel like I have a lot but I just need to ask him to step in and, even if it’s folding a basket of laundry so I can just relax for a minute. Definitely communicate your concerns with him!

H: Mows the lawn, waters the grass, any gardening (we didn't plant anything this year though), his own laundry, the bathrooms (when I ask him to), any car stuff, 75% of the cooking, 60% of the dishes, 25% of the grocery/household shopping, mops the floors (when asked to), scrapes the windshields off when it snows/ices

Me: Picks up the house, my own laundry, dusts/wipes down the counters/cabinets/tables/surfaces, runs the roomba, 25% of the cooking, 40% of the dishes, 75% of the grocery/household shopping, managing our schedule/remembering to buy cards/gifts for mothers/fathers day/Christmas/birthdays

We both work full time and have the same hours currently, but I am starting a new job where my hours are going to be funky, so we'll see if anything shifts. I anticipate it staying roughly the same.

We a majority of the chores. He cooks, I do dishes. I'll start laundry and put it away, he'll change over loads when he's in the basement playing video games.

Our biggest fight is trash night lol. I can't do our cat's litter box because all of the dust triggers my allergies and he doesn't want to do it either lol. So he does the litter and I take all the trash outside.
