Hotel Welcome Packets

Bride107, on May 1, 2018 at 3:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 17

I have a lot of out of town guest staying in a hotel for the wedding, Please share any ideas to have in the hotel guest rooms. I was thinking a welcome packet that includes Places to Go and eat, a local snack and itinerary for rehearsal dinner etc.

Any suggestions?

We're probably going to do a welcome packet. It will have the shuttle departure times, as well as a couple of small snacks and some information on things to do in the area. Nothing too fancy

I agree, something that can be inexpensive but still a nice gesture!

I am doing this along with bottle water, maybe a salty and sweet snack, some Tylenol. I'm thinking what would I need the first night if I were a guest in a different city? I think they'll appreciate it.

Oh that's a good idea too. Hadn't thought of that. FH would definitely want those as a guest! LOL

The only problem I am seeing is a lot of the mutlipacks on Amazon (Like Pepto and Tylenol) have more than I need for the bags but, if we get stuff we also use it'll all work out in the end.

A wedding Welcome Bag was important to my FMIL. Our wedding is in Washington, D.C. proper. Here's what's going in ours:
    - 1 mini champagne bottle (FMIL)- 1 box of personalized candy hearts (FMIL)- 2 travel-size Advil packets- 1 box of mints inside bride or groom boxes; "Mint To Be"- 2 pumpkin spice tea bags (Fall themed)- 3 Vietnamese instant coffee bags- "Rap Snack" chip bags (ties with DC; they are hilarious!)- 3 types of snack bars (1 gluten-free)- 1 16oz water bottle- personalized wedding theme door hangers- 1 copy of the latest Washingtonian magazine (I'm working on that)- letter from groom's family welcoming the guests the wedding (FMIL)

I did think of one other thing for the extras and that is small baskets in the bathroom in case people need things during the reception. Just a thought...

I’ve made cotton bags with seashells on them and have water, pretzels, taffy, m&ms, mints, a notepad and pen, a magnet or sticker from out wedding location, hand lotion, shout wipes, Advil packets, sunscreen, hand cream, band aids, little mini toothbrush things, tissues, and candles from the dollar store that I put a thank you label on. I’m probably missing something! We will also be adding leather luggage tags that we got as favors...if we don’t end up deciding to use them as placecards.

I think that all sounds perfect! I'm including a water bottle (in case the hotel charges), a liquor shooter, and two ibuprofen tablets. In the information, I'm also including in the information packets the local radio stations!

I would nix the Tylenol. It’s dangerous with alcohol.
