Hot weather brides... Hair down?

(Located in Sarasota, FL) So I know I want my hair down for my wedding. I never wear my hair up because I don't like how it looks on me. I didn't think twice about this, but as I am looking for hairstyling, I saw one stylist who had: "YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE YOUR HAIR DOWN FOR A FLORIDA WEDDING"...

I didn't think twice about this, but as I am looking for hairstyling, I saw one stylist who had: "YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE YOUR HAIR DOWN FOR A FLORIDA WEDDING" plastered across her website. I never thought twice about having my hair down, I curl my hair basically daily and I never have an issue with humidity. Plus my wedding is in March and March is really quite nice here. Have any brides left their hair down/are planning to leave their hair down in a humid climate?

I'm getting married in June in Houston, and our humidity is no joke. That being said, i'm doing a half-up half down style. I hate how my head looks with my hair all up, but i knew i wanted the pieces around my forehead pulled back because those get sweaty the easiest. I know my hair stylist has done a lot of brides in humidity/heat and knows what products to use to help!

I am getting married at the end of June in New England. You can never predict the weather here. I was set on doing half up half down. But now idk. My hair is very fine and doesn't hold products or not so I'm thinking updo might be a safe way to go.

Frizz-Ease Humidity Barrier hair spray worked miracles on my hair when I lived in Florida. Try it now so you know how your hair reacts to it.

Also, beware of windblown hair no matter where your wedding is. My hair looked great before our first look and outdoor photos. For my actual ceremony (indoors), my bangs were incredibly windblown. I wore my hair up and the rest was covered by the veil, thankfully, and I had to touch up before the reception.

I'm a Florida bride and I'm wearing it up but that's a preference. You know how your hair is. If it's fine, wear it how you want to. I know mine holds a great curl so I wouldn't worry about it. I just decided I like up better. I think the other big concern besides humidity in Florida is the wind. A lot of people want beach weddings where the wind will be whipping and tangling your hair. If you aren't getting married on the water, it's not as big of an issue

I would find a hairstylist who doesn't give you that look and is comfortable enough with her skills to not make you nervous about looking your best on your wedding day - even with the hair down!

I'm getting married in the summer in Utah - it will probably be around 90 degrees (give or take) and I'm definitely wearing my hair down! We don't have humidity, but even if I wasn't in a desert I would want my hair down for the sake of pictures.

Your wedding is in March, you'll be fine. I'm in Tampa, FL.

Last wedding I went to, was in January, in Miami and bride hers down. She looked beautiful the entire time.

The one before that, was in Orlando and in April. She had it down too and looked beautifully too.

The hair styling does come undone as the day progresses but I think that will happen anywhere, as you dance, and go about the wedding.

You need to know your hair. It's different for everyone. I don't think her one size fits all warning is fair.

It's different if you're having a July, outside ceremony/reception, in Miami, at 2:00pm.

I think you'll be fine! March isn't that bad with humidity! I was married in St Pete and wore my hair down. There was no humidity, but as the ceremony was ending it started to get super windy! By the time it was over my hair was all kinds of crazy and not even curly anymore. Just something to think about if you're getting married on the beach.

I plan to leave it down for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Then pin it up for the reception.

I live in Sarasota. I am going for my hair trial on Saturday morning . I am thinking of half up half down. I'll let you know how it holds up after the day is over.

Just got married in Anna Maria in march. Had my hair mostly down, and I was fine. At work, my hair is always up.

I'm in the jacksonville area and I'll have my hair down. March is touchy over this way, it could be in the 80s or it could be in the 50s. Maybe you could go over two options with your hair stylist so you can go either way depending on the weather.
