Horrible alterations - please help

Colleen , on June 14, 2019 at 9:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Please help! Why is this awful bunching happening? The seamstress I went to was mean to me and awful and says “there’s nothing she can do, she didn’t design the dress, it’s just because that’s where the boning ends.” I am devastated. my wedding is now 2 weeks away and I’m panicking. What do I do??? I have been calling seamstresses and haven’t been able to find any who will take me in on such short notice

Does seem odd the boning would be so far down across your stomach essentially? Can she remove the boning so it ends on the sides of the dress and is less notcible?

Honestly it looks like one of the layers of fabric inside got bunched up when she took it in. Boning doesn’t go to your hips or you wouldn’t be able to sit, she messed up and is blaming the dress.

I’ve never seen boning down that far so I doubt that’s what it is. Is there another seamstress you could take it to for a second opinion?

If it truely boneing it can be taken out pretty easily. But I doubt it would cause bunching especially that low. I’m not a seam stress but there has to be a way to tack some of the layers together so the bunching doesn’t happen

I agree, it looks like an inner layer got bunched up. Were you able to fix it?
