Hoop Skirt or Petticoat?

Every time I have ever seen any bride with a hoop skirt she can't move or walk through any doors. That's my two cents.

I have one of the David's Bridal ball gown petticoats and it's perfect. I highly recommend it!

Go with a petticoat, hoop skirts will be a pain to sit in.

Dealt with hoops growing up doing 1800s shows, they are a pain in the a$$.

Remember with a hoop when you sit the front goes up.

Definitely petticoat. Can't imagine being comfortable all day in a hoop skirt.

I would go petticoat. I think it gives you a little more flexibility.

Thanks everyone! My FMIL is trying to offer me her hoop skirt from her wedding and I'm not sure if I like it so much.

I tried on dresses with a hoop skirt at an Alfred Angelo store and liked it much better than the petticoat. They looked the same but the hoop was cooler, and it was not a stiff frame so when I sat down it laid flat. I would recommend trying both on to see how they feel with your dress!
