Honorary bridesmaid.. rude? Or great idea ?

I have a close friend that has been super helpful every step of the wedding process so far. She’s a great person however I’m only having cousins as my bridesmaid. My cousins and I are super close and whenever one of us gets married it’s just something we do. We’re cousin/sisters lol. I would like to include my friend as a honorary bridesmaid but is that rude ?

    Perhaps she could do a reading? (if there would be any religious elements to the ceremony). If not, I'm sure she would love to come to the bachelorette party!

    Oh wow... ok! Sounds like a gift of thanks is appropriate with a very special note from you. A title isn’t really needed of she’s not an actual bridesmaid. There’s something about the term “honorary” that has a weird connotation to me to me.
