I need ideas on honeymoons that are not costly but where I can get the most of my money?

We're choosing a cruise, this being one of the reasons. It's an all-in-one deal. You have your lodging, food, entertainment, shopping, all in one place!! The bonus is that there are also port destinations where we can lay on the beach, eat exotic food, and lap up the culture!! Prices vary quite a bit, depending on the length of cruise, destination, and type of cabin/room you get. But my future in-laws just did a 7-day cruise to Mexico (3 ports) for around $2000. Check it out!! Also, I have learned that you can often get a better deal with a travel agent, simply because they know a lot of the ins and outs, and what ships are better, etc.

This depends on the kind of couple y'all are/what kind of honeymoon you'd like to go on, but we're pretty broke and will be renting a tiny, secluded cabin by the lake for the week. Not extravagant, but definitely romantic.

I’m not sure what your budget is but cruises tend to be pretty affordable. You can decide based on your budget what type of room and duration of trip. We wanted to do something different (as we cruise pretty often) so decided to do an all inclusive in Aruba.

All inclusive resorts are great. The price you pay upfront is it unless you get a massage or go on an excursion. All alcohol, food, etc is included in the price. We love going to all inclusive resorts. We just bring an extra $100 in singles for tips and we're good for the whole vacation. Mexico is usually on the cheaper end. Check out cheapcaribbean.com or bookit.com. You can also speak with a travel agent. They can help you find something within your budget, and they take commissions from the airlines/hotels, not the clients.

    AirBNB!

Search for a secluded house in an area that is either secluded or is in the middle of lots of free museums and other things to do. You can bring your own food or go on a grocery run and cook a nice dinner inside. Take a walk and see the sights. Bring board games with you and have a quiet afternoon spending time with each other. Depending on the climate, rent a house with a pool and go for a leisurely swim or go near a beach and soak up the sun!

The best thing about Air BNB is that you can stay anywhere and most places offer kitchens so you'll save money on food by cooking instead of going to restaurants.

Have you thought more about a honeymoon destination, Jessica? Where would you and your FS like to go? Would you prefer a beach destination?

Yes we’d like the beach or mountains as long as I don’t have to cook every night
