We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. We left the Monday after our Saturday wedding! We basically always wanted to go to Hawaii, I planned it all myself so we didn't use travel websites.

We are leaving the day after the wedding and we are going to Australia and Moorea and I can't wait! I looked at some travel companies, but none could beat the itinerary and package discount with Pacificislands.com

Awesome!! We considered Australia but since we only had 1 week we didn't want to feel like we were rushing through everything. We are going to do the ATV and jetski tours, Ray and shark feeding, massages and private dinner on the beach. If you do any of those let us know how it is!

Oh yeah that would squeeze things way too much! We're doing two weeks and it feels tight even then! We are planning on booking tours once we get there so we will let you know! Smiley smile

We finally made a decision today! 😌 I really wanted to go to the Caribbean to an island that wasn't super popular, but our budget wouldn't allow it. We ultimately chose Sandals Ochi and we are leaving the monday (April 6th) after our wedding (April 4th). We will spend those 2 days at a suite in downtown Atlanta before leaving for our honeymoon. We are staying 6 days

We are planning on leaving the night/afternoon after our wedding so that we can have brunch with our family, check-in on our animals and house, take home gifts and decorations... and have plenty of time to go to the airport.

We are planning a mini-moon to Tennessee or New Orleans right after the wedding and a honeymoon to Bali or somewhere similar 4 months after the wedding.

I think that the Honeymoon should be right after, whatever fits your budget, and really celebrate that love an new life together. Maybe in a few months, or even a one year anniversary, plan and save for a longer and fancier trip together. Smiley smile

We are going right after the wedding, my fiancée wouldn’t have it any other way! Lol. I wanted to go somewhere near, by the water and secluded, then we picked a city and just googled the local options. I called several places, after visiting their websites and finally picked the one that looked like the perfect background to our love story... I’m excited! I hope that no matter where you go, you enjoy it! Good luck, and congratulations!

Can I ask where you booked through/resort and how much you paid? I know its personal but I've been searching like crazy for overwater bungalows but every site seems to have them as starting at $10,000 a NIGHT

We are going to wait a bit! Aunt Flo is the week after our wedding, so we didn't want to go right after. Then it is the holidays - we will either go before the holidays begin or shortly after the new year! We have no idea where we want to go yet, so it's difficult to plan.

I'd recommend looking at Groupon or finding a travel agent in order to get the best deals!

We booked through Tahiti. Com. They are great to work with. We will be flying in to Tahiti, then taking a ferry to Mo'orea. Tahiti and Mo'orea have over water bungalows starting at a couple hundred a night depending on when you go. What week are you thinking of going? We are staying at two different hotels. We are paying 9k for the whole honeymoon but that's including upgraded flights, and a BUNCH of excursions.

St Thomas and then the BVI.

We will do a five day/night sailing excursion in the BVI (just us!), followed by a few days stay in St Thomas.

We went on our honeymoon 5 days after we got married. Ideally we would have gone 2-3 days earlier, but that was how things worked out. We went on a 10 days Caribbean cruise! I booked through a travel agent and I'd always recommend the same, especially for trips overseas. There's a misconception that travel agents charge you. They in fact, do not charge you directly. They get paid by the places you book. That might be the best option to figure out where to go, for how long to go and to find deals! Travel agents have access to deals that regular people don't or wouldn't know about. My husband and I went on a Mediterranean cruise last year and it was amazing! that's something to consider. We went to Spain, Italy, France and Monaco. It was an incredible vacation and so relaxing!

Check out "oblu by atmosphere at helengeli". It is in Maldives tho but they have all inclusive over water bungalows with and w/o private pools. I'm staying at their sister resort which is more expensive but we wanted to splurge in the honeymoon suite at "oblu select at sangeli". They had great prices at Helengeli (like 500 a night) and have great reviews! And I repeat again, ALL INCLUSIVE! lol

We are heading to Europe 2 days after our wedding. I am way more excited for our honeymoon than I am the wedding. 8 day Rhine river cruise and then 4 days in Scotland.

We're probably going to go somewhere for our one year anniversary. We'll be almost out of vacations days at work, since we are getting married out of state (live in Minnesota, getting married in Florida; I grew up in FL, family still lives there). We want to get there a week early, so there goes half of our vacation days in January lol we have a couple weddings to go to in 2020, so we have to save as many days as possible!!!

We went to Paris, Barcelona, and Spain last year for Christmas vacation and absolutely loved it. You can’t go wrong with so many beautiful places in Europe! Our honeymoon will be in winter so I don’t think we’ll be doing Europe again since it’s so cold, but if it was in a better month, we’d for sure do Italy next! Congratulations!!
