Honeymoon When and Where

Mackayla, on October 6, 2019 at 6:18 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 42

Are you going on your honeymoon directly after you get married or are you planning it for later on? Where are you going and what websites did you check out before making your final choice? We are thinking about somewhere in Europe. However, looking to get as much info as we can in order to best save money, and be the most prepared.

Sadly our Honeymoon fell through. His boss told us he was paying for a short honeymoon here in state and then backed out without us having enough time to save for something. I'd been looking on Hotels.com for specials. I like that site a lot. We were going to go to Frankenmuth Michigan. I don't think we'll be able to go on one anytime in the foreseeable future

Laura, I am very sorry you are experiencing this. This must be very heartbreaking and frustrating all at the same time. I hope that things work out for you. Please keep your pretty head up. You know what they say, "when one door closes another opens". Best wishes to you and your husband.

We are going on a mini moon in October of 2020 to a resort town in state that is north of us. They have a hotel/waterpark that I want to go to. Then my FH said we could go horseback riding and into the towns downtown area. But it will probably be a 4 day weekend. We want to save money for a house after the wedding but still want to do something.

We have to wait to go to our honeymoon 6 months after due to hurricane season where we will be going and not wanting to miss Thanksgiving or Christmas with our families.

We're going to St. Lucia for a week through Sandals Resorts. Since we have to wait, we will be doing a mini moon weekend at Disneyland right after which is about 30 mins away from our venue!

Is it bad that maybe I’m a liiiiittle more excited for the honeymoon than the wedding lol! We are leaving the night after the wedding!

We are going to Singapore, Maldives and Italy over 15 days. I used all my points to book us upgraded tickets (6 years of saving). The photos of the resort in the Maldives make me want to swoon!!!

We leave the night after our wedding for Tahiti and Mo'orea. I researched like crazy and originally had chosen Italy, but he REALLY wanted an overwater bungalow somewhere tropical.

If you want to do a cruise, I recommend looking into carnival cruise lines.

We are staying in the country to save money- Vegas and California beaches. We are saving up for a house, and hopefully a baby after the wedding so we will do a one year anniversary trip thats more like a typical honeymoon location.

We're hoping to go to Iceland and Norway to see the northern lights, but we will have to see what our financial situation looks like closer to then. Hopefully we can go within a month of the wedding. If we can't afford it at that point, we may do something cheaper and then do that for our first wedding anniversary.

Smiley heart thank you for that. I kept hoping the boss would keep his word after all, but he's not. At least Rob has a couple of days off after the wedding. Thank you

My cousin was going to gift us ours, but that's a story for another day. Since we weren't planning to pay for a honeymoon, we didnt budget for it, but FH could see how my cousin let me down. So we are staying in state and going to Gatlinburg for a week. We got a great honeymoon package and the cabin is amazing and overlooks the mountains. We plan on going something for out first anniversary.

We're leaving for our honeymoon immediately after the wedding. We decided to spend a week in a mountain cabin about two hours from where we live. It has a hot tub and fireplace so it'll be super romantic for staying in, but we'll also do some shopping, wine tasting, and hit up a casino!

We're leaving 2 days after our wedding! We're getting married an hour & a half away from where we live and will be driving home & relaxing the day after. Then, Monday, we'll fly out to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos at 6:00am. We're going for 7 nights/8 days. We booked our flights through my Capitol One Venture Card's Travel Site.... the flights were only $75 total because of my credit card reward miles (if you travel a lot, I highly recommend that credit card!). We booked our oceanfront condo on HomeAway!

We did 12 nights in Italy. We flew out Sunday night, the day after our Saturday wedding, which was a little tight and if I could do it again, I might delay the departure one more day (we had about 2 hours at home Sunday to get ready to head to the airport). We did all the booking ourselves, hotels, trains, tours, mostly using TripAdvisor.
