Honeymoon Planning

What are some good honeymooning places in the US that are relaxing & have fun things to do?? Somewhere overlooking a beach/ocean would be a plus. 😍

Thanks in Advance!

Florida, Hawaii, or California are probably the places that come to mind first for that type of setting

Mackinac Island in Michigan is a pretty honeymoon spot. They have tons of inns and hotels overlooking the water and lots of quirky little shops. There’s no cars on the island so you get to travel by horse & carriage. Because it’s not California or Florida, the prices are a lot cheaper and you still get gorgeous water views.

Though I do love Miami Florida, it’s just a lot more pricey to stay there.

St. Augustine, FL is such a cute place. My husband and I spent time in Casey Key, FL and loved it! We're taking our honeymoon in Savannah/Tybee Island in October. We've never been there though.

There are so many great places in CA, but, personally, I think San Diego has a LOT to offer, with a wide variety of options/price points. Nothing is inexpensive, but I think you can get more for your money than in Santa Barbara, the Central coast, or the Bay area. Depending on how long you'd be staying, you might even consider a couple nights near the Balboa Park area, which gives you access to the Harbor, the museums, zoo, downtown/night life, Petco Park, La Jolla (kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.), Old Towne, Brewery Tours, and not a bad drive to Mission Bay. You could then go more inland in North SD for wineries, the Safari Park, the Del Mar fair, etc. Traffic can be bad, but if you plan well it's doable, unlike LA which is always a disaster in my mind. We just went to Hawaii, it was amazing. If you are looking somewhere in the continental US, I would go with San Diego! I'm not familiar with either, but maybe Florida or Padre Island in Texas?
