Honeymoon on a budget! help

I thought I had our honeymoon location select, Virgin Islands but fiance' wants something that is all inclusive with a fixed amount. Yes, he's over the budget. He would to keep the trip under $3000, which I think will be difficult. Our wedding is Feb. 6, 2021 and the honeymoon would be Feb. 7th through Feb 14th. I would love to do the Virgin Islands but I don't think it's any our budget. Is there any recommendations for a honeymoon under $3000 to a tropical destination during Feb?

We are definitely looking for somewhere beachy and warm, night life would be nice but not a must have.

Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

Mexico has tons of great all-inclusive resorts right on the beach and tends to be cheaper. I prefer Excellence and Secrets brands, and sometimes you can find some good deals online.

Dominican Republic, St. Lucia - are a few options. I like St Lucia. And a cruise that includes Virgin Islands might be an option. I know with Covid it sounds scary but I enjoyed them.

You could probably do Hawaii on a budget. Especially during February— I’ve seen flights for as low as $250/pp before.

I’ve gotten a room at the Modern in Waikiki for around $180/night during off-season (November).
Food gets pricey if you do the expensive touristy restaurants, but there are so many affordable local options!

St. Lucia was actually on the top of my list. I cannot do a cruise because I get sea sick. I've tried twice and it was not a good experience.

Is the $3,000 including airfare and where are you flying from? I ask because I’m from around Boston and when we went to the DR in January of 2019, our flights alone were around $400-$500pp roundtrip- I assume because we were going from cold weather to warm weather. I think you could do Mexico or some places in the DR on that budget, but flight costs will obviously play a factor in that decision.

Not including flights. I prefer no DR, Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica. Really looking for something out of the ordinary/norm.
