Honeymoon Jamaica or mexico

We are planning ours for Playa Mujeres, MX. We are staying at either Secrets or Excellence. Waiting for the travel agent to get back with pricing for both. I fell in love with Playa Mujeres after seeing other posters pics.

We're going to Mexico. Can't wait!!

We are considering Playa Mujeres as well, Jamaica or a Carribean cruise.

We're going to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. We wanted a good all-inclusive and they had great reviews.

Were doing an all inclusive in Jamaica too!

We're not honeymooning at either but have been to both on vacation.

I think they are both really great and can be similar in many things but there are also some great differences. You can find wonderful all inclusives at both.

in Jamaica we stayed in Runaway Bay and it was absolutely beautiful! we visited Negril and did cliff diving at ricks cafe and climbed Dunns River Falls. So Amazing

In Mexico, we stayed in Riveria Maya, closer to Tulum and I have to say it was so beyond beautiful. There wasn't too much tourist traffic in that area. We visited a nature reserve and snorkeled in cents (ancient under water caves) and soo many other things.

After lots of research on travel review sites and comparing pricing we decided to go to Excellence Playa Mujeres and I couldn't be more excited.

FH and I desperately wanted to go to Jamaica on our honeymoon, but it was a horrible idea since we're getting married in October! When we researched it, Mexico has an avg. of 6 rainy days during the month, while Jamaica has an avg. of 18. We're going to Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun, and we're pretty excited!

I feel like you can't go wrong with either place. Look into the average weather during April and things to do to help make your decision. Good luck choosing!

I would go with Jamaica until Mexico calms down regarding crime. I know that cancun is rarely unsafe but there have been instances of crime.

I agree with Janeen. We are going to Jamaica.

We are staying at the Sandals Ochi resort... In Ocho Rios, Jamaica .. I can't wait!!

We went to Sandals Royal Caribbean. The water is Jamaica is absolutely spectacular. You can see the bottom even when you are out on a boat. I've heard that Mexico ocean is just not the same, although they have cheaper options for all-inclusives. If you do Jamaica, I would suggest Sandals. The difference between Sandals and all the other resorts was very clear.

Well....I think we decided a cruise to Baja, Mexico it's 5 nights and 4 days all inclusive with a beautiful Jr, Suite with veranda. We were able to get a great deal through Carnival. We are very excited to get something that was reasonable and in our budget.

I would choose Jamaica because I like Caribbean food more than Mexican food.

We're going to the Dominican Republic. I've been to Jamaica and LOVED it but I'm Caribbean so I'm biased.

We are going to Jamaica!! We are stay at Couples Tower Isle in Ochos Rios! Its all-inclusive, has many restaurant options, beautiful beaches with blue water and a lot of activities. Met all our requirements!

That was one of our choices too but outta budget Jasmine

We went to playa del Carmen mexico (near cancun). We weren't that impressed with it (and we don't travel much). I loved the excursions in Mexico but that was about it for us. I would say Jamaica but Mexico was a good, on-time experience.
