He was looking forward to some sort of sausage platter. He loves the chicken too. i'm hoping when he's a bit less hurt he may go for it. i'm trying to not show how upset I am because it'll just make him feel worse. He goes out of his way to make me happy. I'm so glad this site exists fo brides to get support on. I don't really have any close friends so I don't know what i'd do without this place

Most of my friends live back in my homestate of Washington, WW is a great resource! People actually care about weddings here. Outside of the dress everyone irl was like “Well I can’t wait to see how it looks”, makes me envy brides with showers sometimes.

I was hoping someone would give me some sort of party. My niece is my MOH, and she had her first baby a few months ago so she's been busy with that. My FH's family love to have parties but no one seems to want to do anything. They have offered to help set up the wedding at least, which is nice so i'm not moving tables in my gown which is what I was afraid was going to happen

View Quoted Comment Yeah that’s the problem we have. I mean it makes sense, no one cares about weddings like the wedding couple but it does feel depressing. Glad you have help with set up! Our venue will have our tables set up for us but we’re in charge of decorating. My parents are helping us hang stuff but I’m decorating in a puffy dress lol
It’ll be ok! Like my FH says, at the end of the day you’re married. The rest is just gravy.

On the bright side, you won't feel awkward being somewhere where you have to bring everything you need. A night at home can be romantic. Light some candles, put on some soft, sexy music, & tell him how much you love him.

We're waiting a year to take our honeymoon because I'll be too tired to do much the 1st few days.

I hope you can make your apartment into your own getaway.

Wouldn't have been an issue. He's not a candle and romantic music kind of guy, so won't be doing any of that. He's not mushy at all. I know he loves me but he's not into romantic stuff.

I would be super disappointed too! For FH's boss to revoke the offer with roughly a month to go was a really rude thing to do. If it makes you feel any better, FH and I are going to be spending our first night together as a married couple in our apartment. Sending you hugs

I bet his boss also feels bad he had to take back the offer. Yeah, it would have been nice if he'd let you know a little earlier.
Like someone else asked, are you able to take a day trip somewhere? Are there any free festivals in town? You guys can have a staycation.

Try go fund me...you would be surprised at how people would be willing to help. It is a beautiful place that I am going to add to my bucket list.
