Honeymoon ideas

Brooklin, on September 4, 2019 at 12:34 PM Posted in Honeymoon 2 19

What do y'all have planed for your honeymoons?! We need some ideas to bounce around?

Side note our wedding is May 2nd, so any other thoughts about travel and what weather should we expect?

Hi! We're going to palawan in the Philippines for 11 days. We wanted a mix of adventure and beach/relaxation. What kind of things do you want to do during your honeymoon? How do you want to travel and for how long are you willing to be in a plane/car? I feel like it will be easier to suggest ideas if you give us more details about what you're envisioning.

My fiance and I went through Sandals Resorts and we are going to St. Lucia for a week. We're getting married August next year but that's rainy season so we're waiting 6 months to go. In the meantime, we will be planning a weekend trip to Disneyland right after our wedding to still have that time to relax and unwind!

So I wouldn't mind to relax for a whole week but Levi is a on the go kind of person, so definitely need/want a mix of both things to do and relax. I'm thinking tropical beachy, but also like the idea of more woods or going for an experience if that makes since. Pretty open to all ideas! And our time frame is flexible but thinking a week is perfect amount of time.

Wow now that will be amazing! With Sandals Resort does that include meals, things to do, etc?

We're getting married in October and then spending a week at Panama Jack Resort in Playa Del Carmen. They're having a really great deal right now and the resort is all inclusiveSmiley smile Just have to pay for flights separately which are very inexpensive (we live in Texas)!

Everything offered with Sandals Resorts is ALL INCLUSIVE!! They offer hotels in Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Grenada and Antigua. Also, (you can ask if they do it with all) for our trip to St. Lucia, there are 3 hotels on the island. Although we will be staying at one, we're allowed to travel to the other 2 hotels and ground transfers are provided. It's called "stay at 1, play at 3".

I would suggest a cruise! FH and I definitely wanted some adventure but also wanted time to relax and unwind. We saw a cruise as a perfect option. We're doing an 11 night cruise where 4 days are just on the boat and 5 are in port. Each port will offer something different about what you can do with different levels of activity.

That's similar to what we wanted. Other places we considered which I think includes stuff for both of you are costa rica, belize, thailand, and bali. If you want woods, you could do a national park with lakes/rivers for you to relax by. One of my favorites is yosemite. They have a beautiful hotel that is great for honeymoons. (I've never stayed at the hotel, but I've been inside). Rivers and lakes will probably be colder though than tropical beaches.

Hey there! We're getting married May 3rd, one day apart! We originally planned on taking a cruise to the Bahamas through Royal Caribbean, but after deciding that's not really our idea of relaxing, we've decided to go a different route. We'll be renting a honeymoon cabin in Tennessee with a hot tub and going to a spa, maybe a winery/brewery, lots of different restaurants, and shopping around! Then the rest of the time we'll spend at our cabin relaxing together (we're big homebodies lol). Smiley smile

We’re also getting married on May 2nd! We’re having a destination wedding at Secrets in Mexico so our wedding and honeymoon are rolled into one. But we’ve talked about taking a long weekend just us once we return from Mexico, maybe to Charleston. We love Charleston and that’s where our first date was. We also considered Key West or one of the islands in the Carolinas.

We might do Disneyland woth our children as our honeymoon. Very possible. The weather isn't too bad around May so all you really need is sunblock, light clothing and water.

Ours is not definite yet but we are thinking about New Zealand with a couple days in Fiji tacked on! (if I'm flying all the way from Boston to New Zealand you better believe I'm hopping on over to Fiji!)

Mo'orea (island next to Tahiti, because it's even better than Tahiti 😍). We got an overwater bungalow! We scheduled an atv tour, jetski tour, snorkeling with sharks and stingray, private dinner on the beach at sunset, and a couples massage! We're so excited. March 13, 2020. Going with a travel agent was really worth it for us.
