Honeymoon Ideas

Nicole, on August 13, 2019 at 2:07 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10

Well after all of your creative comments on "Let down", (thank you to those who did reach out), Some of those ideas are now going into place. We have been talking/researching honeymoons! I want an All-Inclusive resort where I do not have to do anything. However, we have also spoke about doing a cruise verses staying on 'land'. We have checked out Sandals and though its gorgeous, its out of our price rang. Kauai, Hawaii has several resorts that look nice on the internet, but we know how pictures can be deceiving, it's in the budget. Certain cruises are in the budget but there is also so many to choose from.

Which would you prefer? Cruise or Resort? Which one and why?

And how long should the 'average' honeymoon be you think?

We did three weeks in Hawaii and had a wonderful time, but I think a cruise is a great option for not having to plan anything! Where would you sail out of?

Haven't got a clue yet. We see commercials for all the cruises and we toss back and forth ideas! By the end of November is when should have something decided.

I’m going to Oahu (it’s also where we are getting married) but we considered Kauai (we still might do a day trip to Kauai). It’s beautiful but it can get expensive quick! I would stay on land especially if you haven’t been on a cruise before. I get really sea sick and I have family members that get sea sick and is allergic to the medication used to treat sea sickness. I’d hate for that to happen on your honeymoon. I also like resorts cause I like going on excursions without a time limit (my last cruise it was only a few hours at each port). We like hiking and kayaking and stuff like that. We will be on our honeymoon for 15 days... well technically not that long. Cause we are actually getting married in Hawaii. So we will arrive 4 days before the wedding then it’s our honeymoon so technically only 11 days but I count all of it as our honeymoon.

Check out Palace Resorts. They have locations in Cancun and Jamaica. We aren't going there for our honeymoon but my parents go yearly and we go every 2 years with them. They have adult only resorts that are absolutely beautiful, tons to do, and amazing food and beaches. I know they aren't super expensive because we were pricing out a vacation there in April.

They also do all day excursions that get you off the resort - we have explored 3 different ruins and my fiance and brothers went parasailing.
