Lexi, on September 28, 2020 at 10:15 AM Posted in Honeymoon 2 13

I am looking for some honeymoon ideas located in the United States! We are getting married next October! So wherever we travel id like the weather to still be decent!

There are so many places that come to mind, I think it depends on what you are looking for?

One of my FH and I's first vacations together was in Maine, we absolutely fell in love the Cadillac Mountain, Bar Harbor and the surrounding area.

I'm a huge fan of pretty much anywhere in Southern Fl (SW FL, the Keys as far north as Fort Lauderdale), California, Las Vegas, New Orleans... what is it you want?

We definitely want to go somewhere we have never seen before! We love beautiful views! My fiance also loves fishing! So we were possibly looking somewhere within driving distance so he can fish somewhere new! But we were also looking at resorts where we could fly to In Texas or in Florida! Thank you so much for your input! It is so hard to decide where to go!

Gatlinburg Tennessee if you’re a hiker
Bear Island In North Carolina if you’re a beach body

    Head to the Keys...

Islamorada - Sport Fishing capital of the world, Key Largo, Diving capital. We're having our wedding / familymoon in Islamorada (Upper Keys), there is a ton to do even if you're not into fishing, Everglades state park, Key West, just a ton.

Definitely recommend Florida if your FH likes to fish and the weather will still be awesome.

I live in CA so we're doing a road trip: 2 nights in Topanga/Malibu, 2 nights in San Francisco/Berkeley, and 2 nights in Big Sur/Monterey/wine country!

It depends on what you like. I'm not a beach person and I prefer the city or the mountains. I recommend going to Napa valley or san Francisco.

The Florida keys! Check out “The Bungalows” in Key Largo. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but they cater to honeymooners. It’s great during covid. You don’t have to leave the states, but feels like you’re on a tropical island. Amazing drives over all the bridges, lots of restaurants on the beach, some of the best snorkeling and you can even rent your own boats to drive around in the crystal clear water all day! We go all the time and it still amazes us that this is still considered the U.S.

Where do you live and how far do you want to travel? I mean there are lots of places "nearby," but that will depend on your geography. The USA is a big country--although I'm pretty sure you can find a really neat honeymoon destination in all regions of the US.

Do you plan to get on a plane?

Do you want to drive within 2-3 hours or are you okay with 7-8 hours or longer?
