The right cruise line really depends on what vibe you're hoping for and what your interests are.

For example, Carnival has a lot of activities and is typically more families and wholesome fun, Norwegian is more relaxed, Disney has the details nailed down and their customer service is often great but you have to love disney, Virgin Voyages is adults only. You can look up the different companies and see what you're aiming to do.

Also some cruise lines only sail to certain destinations so that can help narrow it down as well.

I have done Norwegian, Carnival and Royal. It all depends on what you are looking for out of the cruise.

We prefer Norwegian because it is more relaxed, and offers a not so up-beat vibe. While Carnival is a party boat. Royal, to me, seemed like the inbetween. You get the relaxation aspect and you get a little bit of the party boat vice.

I have never done Virgin, but can say, we have ported with virgin and it seemed very similar to Carnival but I believe it is adults only
