My fiancé and I are trying to pay for our wedding AND buy a house this year. So our budget is TIGHT. We want to spent $1,000 when all is said and done on our honeymoon. My fiancé and I are trying to pay for our wedding AND buy a house this year. So our budget is TIGHT. We want to spent $1,000 when all is said and done on our honeymoon. Does anybody have any suggestions? We live in Michigan and a lot of people have recommended traveling within the state but we'd prefer to go elsewhere.

    Keep your eyes open for an inexpensive cabin at a state park. A lot of them also have kitchens. Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee were all places I went to while living in Michigan. Penn and Kentucky had the best values in State Park cabins.

    Maybe trying to look on Royal Carribean or Carnival Cruise line to see if they have any deals for a weekend cruise. Smiley smile
