Honeymoon Destinations

Where is a good place to go on a honeymoon in the US? Not wanting to leave the states and we aren't big on beachy locations and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN is a no go because we do that every Summer.
We are thinking of a cabin/ranch type place. Any ideas would be helpful on where the best place for that might be! Thank you. 😊

I would say San Diego (this is bias though as I live here, best weather year round), Hawaii, and I heard Florida is nice.

    Edit:

And as I re-read your post you said not beachy! Oops lol

I would def go to Lake Tahoe, CA they have such a beautiful lake! and cabins.

I forgot to add that we have family in Florida and we go there every year too plus it will be hurricane season during our honeymoon so that might not be an option either. Thank you though! 😊

My FH and I will be going for a week to the Poconos from May 10 to the 17th. We get married on the 9th. We rented a cabin type house that has a loft with a king size bed, two other bedrooms (only us going down but we like a lot of space lol), and has a grill and a lake front view where we can fish and even walk trails. We can even have bonfires. It's similar to an air b&b.

I know you said no beachy, but I highly recommend Hawaii. There are other things to do that aren't beachy. I'm not a beach person either, but prefer all the hiking trails, visiting historical sites, and even swimming with sharks!

I once stayed in a nice cabin in Blue Ridge, GA years ago. I am not a nature person at all lol but it was a mix of to me a nice slightly luxury cabin but you could go out in the back yard and do bonfires and what not.

Lake Tahoe is beautiful so that might be a good place. Also New Orleans would be super fun!

You're welcome! We love the beach, but also love the woods. Anything relaxing, nature involved and country, we love.

There are some beautiful cabins in different parts of Montana and South Dakota.

What areas in Montana? We had looked into dude ranches in Montana but they were way more money than what we are wanting to spend. 😅 Montana would be a dream trip for us!

I really really want to go to Montana for a vacation so I think that'd be a great place to go to! Missoula, Bozeman, Butte, and Helena all look gorgeous! I've done a lot of work with people in Montana for my job, and everyone I've met there is so nice. Salt Lake City is, also, on my bucket list. I went to Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs earlier this year for the first time, and they were beautiful too! I'm from Tennessee so I'm used to seeing mountains everyday (and grew up on a ridge), but the Rockies were so much better than the Smokeys!

I think Jackson Hole, Wyoming is a great if you're looking for outdoorsy stuff. Absolutely beautiful and lots to do.
