Honeymoon decisions???

Alliyah, on January 6, 2020 at 6:36 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

I have done in the past family cruises and the family beaches resort in Jamaica. However, for our honeymoon, I can't decide what will be the best option. Both are all-inclusive and with their own special amenities and activities. Would you choose an all-inclusive cruise or an all-inclusive beach resort with Sandals (the Adult version of Beaches Resorts)? My fiance and I are thinking of doing a 4-night honeymoon with whatever we end up choosing.

My husband won’t do a cruise so my only option would be the all inclusive resort which honestly I would like better myself.

All depends on what you want from your honeymoon. We went for an all inclusive Sandals in Jamaica. I wanted pure relaxation with the option to go off for activities when we want. On a cruise, I feel like you’re more on-the-go each day, where as at a resort, you can lounge and leisure as you desire. I know cruises have pools where you can lounge, but for me, I felt the need to do more on the cruise to get the most out of it. There’s probably more options at Sandals as well - free water sports, lots of restaurants, and tons of excursions if you want.

    Hey there, Alliyah!
As the PP mentioned, it is all about what you want for your honeymoon. Are you and your FS looking for complete relaxation or lots of activities?

A bit of both actually... However, I want to be able to do something throughout the day and come back to our rooms and relax, spend time together, and eat good food. We're hoping to find a happy medium. My FS is leaning towards a resort option because of its being an all-adult option versus cruisers of all ages. From experience, cruises seem to be the easier option. But we are factoring in the risk of doing this in hurricane season. Our wedding is Aug 1st, and we're doing the honeymoon right afterward.

I see! An all adult-resort may be a better option if you want to avoid children!
If you're worried about hurricane season, another option is taking your honeymoon later outside of the hurricane season. Would you consider this option? Or do you want to head on a honeymoon right away?
