We are also doing a cruise for our honeymoon! Neither one of us have ever been on one before.

I just recently went on my first Carnival cruise back in April and it was such a good time. I saw so many people celebrating their honeymoons and even 2 weddings take place while on the cruise. I think you will have a great time bc they have great entertainment and some nights they have games where newlyweds are called on stage to participate! I noticed that some people doors were decorated w signs that said “Just Married” and had streamers all over them which I thought was cute. All in all I’m sure you will enjoy! Congratulations 👏🏽👏🏽

I've done a few Carnival cruises, and I've been to both of those places. Definitely make sure they know it's your honeymoon - they *might* do something in your room, but they'll definitely do something at dinner for you. They have a restaurant that you can pay to upgrade to (I believe it's normally a steak and seafood place) that could be a nice special night, and you could also look into spa/massage packages. There will be a formal night one night, where they ask you to dress up a little more than normal for dinner (think summer to cocktail dresses and button downs and khakis to suits). It's always kind of fun, and they'll have tons of photographers set up around the main area of the ship - definitely have them take your picture at least to look at them later, even if you don't buy them. And download the Carnival app ahead of time so you can see the ship time, daily itinerary, and photos.

As for the ports, I'd look into shore excursions, but also be open to just hanging out on the beach. Snorkeling is pretty good in that area if it interest you, and I think you can probably do an excursion to Paradise Island in Nassau to go to the Atlantis waterpark, which is also a blast. Have fun!

A cruise was our first vacation together and we went to both Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Half Moon Cay is BEAUTIFUL! I highly recommend renting one of the smaller cabanas if you can swing it. They supply you with food, drinks, rafts and A/C. It was a bit of a splurge, but we had the best time! Enjoy!

I’ve been to Half Moon Cay 5 or 6 times and it is the most beautiful beach you will ever set foot on. Nassau is pretty nice too. Our go to spot their is Senor Frogs at the end of the pier, but if it’s your first time going look into some excursions. Atlantis is a pricey one but the grounds are beautiful. Have so much fun!

AHHHHHHH Half Moon Cay is the BEST beach! Do not plan to do anything besides renting a floatie and laying on the water all day. It is absolute paradise! Nassau is also fun. Atlantis is something to be seen! We also did a segway tour of the city, which was a blast.
