HoneyFund on Shark Tank

Linds, on October 2, 2016 at 10:20 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

With all the shark tank I watch - I can't believe I've never seen this episode... phrases like "small fee" and "free honeymoon registry" just don't seem to match for me...

The couple made $987,000 the year before they went on shark tank (October 2014), and it was estimated they paid themselves half a million dollars... half a million dollars from other people's gifts...

They are also trying to add BabyFund, MazelFund, and Fondo de Miel so they have Spanish "HoneyFund"

They took $400,000 for basically a loan - they have to pay back 30% of the processing fee until they pay Mr. Wonderful 1.2MILLION dollars... it appears even the sharks realize how much they're making from poor consumers who are willing to pay for it - also had multiple other offers...

They said 10 years ago they made a website so people could donate to their honeymoon and they got over 5k from guests, and everyone told them what a great idea it was, so they made the website. And made half a million dollars by skimming a processing fee.... ugh
