Honey underlay or all white

Laura, on March 9, 2021 at 5:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35
Got my wedding dress a couple days ago unexpectedly. I love the honey underlay as it shows the intricate details of the lace, looks more unique/sexier and makes the cutouts not so apparent— but now I’m having second thoughts, and debating on the all white. We will also be adding sleeves. Not sure if I can change the underlay color but would love some opinions. I’m hoping I made the right decision! I’m biased but I loveeee the non-white underlay. I want a dress with a pink underlay. I think the honey color is gorgeous!

I think the honey underlay looks beautiful on your skin. It gives your gown a little more edge than your typical white gown.

I think that you look stunning and that you don't have to doubt your decision! It's beautiful now and will look absolutely stunning with sleeves!

I think they both look amazing! I personally love the all white just a tad bit more however that’s a personal preference to white, and as you can see everyone else loves the honey. You look amazing in either one so I can see why it’s a hard decision

My gosh I love the honey version so much more than the same dress in all white! The details really pop with the honey and get lost in the white version .

I'm also biased, because my dress was two-tone, but another vote for honey here! Like you said, it brings out the details, and I personally think that it has an extra soft, romantic touch. Love it!

Oh my stunning. That is a gorgeous dress I love the detail on the lace!
That being said: the honey appeals to me more. The complements your skin tone soooooo well!
Either would look amazing- but that honey just is *chefs kiss* perfection!

Another vote for the honey underlay! It looks beautiful with your skin tone and really makes all those details POP! The all white is pretty, but you really lose a lot of details. The honey underlay makes the dress unforgettable!

I’ve run into the same thing! I picked a dress that has ivory floral lace over a “rum” colored underlay and when I had it on, it felt perfect, and I loved how the details popped. My bridal consultant said it looked like I was wrapped in lace which is a perfect way to describe it. After the fact I started worrying about whether or not I should have ordered the ivory underlay to get more of the traditional white dress look, but I’m trusting my gut. You definitely lose the detail when the underlay is white/ivory, and if you fell in love with the honey, stick with it! I think it looks INCREDIBLE on you. And it’s still a white dress, even with a skin-toned underlay. Rock it!!!

Definitely keep the honey underlay. Like you said, it allows the design to be more visible and looks sexier. Additionally, I feel like the honey gives a higher quality appearance than white on white.

Definitely the honey! It’s so sweet and you can see the detail of the lace where with the ivory you don’t see that.

I love the honey underlay! You look beautiful! the white does take away from the dress!
The honey overlay adds uniqueness and is very in style right now!

The honey! I may be biased because my dress has a rum underlay. I think a non-white color gives it something extra.
