So, I'm really stuck on the idea of having gold or light gold sequin bridesmaid dresses! I saw it on Pinterest and fell in love. I am not looking for a tacky stand out color or shiny-ness if that makes any sense at all. My colors are pinks and light golds. So I have been scouring the web looking for longer, gold, sequin dresses that could be used as BM dresses. I found one that is actually reasonably priced and I think is really pretty. I'm of course going to order it and check the quality and make sure the color is correct before the BM's purchase it. I just wanted to get a second opinion because my MOH is not really liking the idea of the sequins and she isn't too fond of the dress I picked out. Do you think this dress would look tacky? We are having an outdoor ceremony in the mountains. I've also attached a picture of our ceremony venue. What do you think? Yay or nay on the sequins?

It is a gorgeous dress, but just a heads up that a long sequinned dress is likely to be really unforgiving. If any of your girls have a trouble area in their hips or tummy, it will likely highlight it (literally - if you look at the model photo you can see how it sits around her tummy, which is likely how it will look on a flat stomach). If they are totally comfortable in their skin - go for it!

I love the dress but I just don't think it fits an outdoor mountain wedding. It is more fitting of a formal hotel / ballroom type wedding. I think it's important that attire fits with the style and formality of the event.

Where did you find that gorgeous gown. I absolutely LOVE it. I would love to have that for myself for my reception. My wedding colors are wine, black & gold.

I think they're beautiful. My only advice would be to make sure that they will not overshadow your dress, that they match your theme/style, and that you will be happy with they look in photos.

I think it's a bit much for an afternoon wedding. I also think this is definitely a bridesmaids dress I never would be able to wear again. If your 'maids are the type to love dresses like these and want to rewear them, then it might be a great idea.

I don't think it looks TACKY though. Just a little too evening for an afternoon wedding.

What a beautiful place to get married at ! I definitely agreed with other here, the dress is a bit too flashy for a ceremony in mountains. The color is beautiful but the sequins are just not doing it for me.

I think it's gorgeous. My only concern would be if it rubs under arms. I had a sequin shirt once I wore for a girls night, my arms were bloody at end of night because it kept rubbing and I danced a lot. Just something to really check into before the final decision ♥

I think the dress is beautiful! If it's not too outrageously priced, then I say why not. They should be supporting you.

I think it's awesome! In my Pinterest somewhere are sequined dresses that I loved. Love it! Personally, I would like short glittery dresses, but I do like the ones you have found!

It's pretty. Keep in mind that sequins can be really uncomfortable to wear when your arms are brushing against them all night.

This dress is in a shimmery gold fabric.

The dress is very, very pretty, and I like the idea of the gold. Honestly though, I don't think sequins really mesh with your venue. It seems more outdoor and rustic. Gold dresses would be gorgeous, I'm just not sold on the sequins.

I think they are gorgeous but sequins can be unflattering on lots of people because they show off your lumps and bumps more.
