I'm planning a November wedding and I've already been told by one person that I should change the date so it won't be so close to peoples holiday travels for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just got married on 11/11 of this year. The date worked very well for us, but we were also doing an extremely small wedding (20 people). About half had to fly in, but every person invited came to the wedding. It depends greatly on your guest list and their ability to travel. Definitely check your date with VIPs before booking!

Lol @AP exams. I'd rather go to a wedding in November than in the summer or a holiday weekend, but that's just me. Just make sure your VIPs can go and you're set. And if you are worried about it, think of the bright side...lower acceptance rate means less money to spend

Didn't cause a problem for me, we have 100% attendance with only like 3 RSVPs waiting

It depends on a lot of things. How far would most guests have to travel? How many are out of state? Do you care if they decline? I would have trouble attending an OOT wedding at that time of year because I would have to skip Thanksgiving in order to get the time off. If I were you, I would check with the people that I would be upset if they could not attend to make sure that they could make it. If it is inconvenient for anyone else they can just say no.

That is true Elizabeth. And it's always been that way.

I live furthest away from friends and family and no this wouldn't affect it

I've been to weddings in November and December before and they were well attended. However, my job gives off Thanksgiving and the day after, as well as Christmas Eve through New Years Day (I work at a school) so I never have to use my own PTO for the holidays, and none of the weddings I've been to in November of December have involved major travel
