Hiring security?!

Is anyone else considering hiring security just because of family drama? I honestly think I may have to. 47 days can not happen soon enough.

I agree with the wedding planner. Have him speak to his family once and for all and just cease contact until after your big day. Then maybe he can just ask some of his cop friends that IF something happens (an unlikely event but potentially an issue if a few people show up), can he count on them to step in? That way, they're there to celebrate and relax, but know that they should kick it into high gear in the off-chance those two do make such a long distance journey to crash your wedding.

Though my situation's different, I have a few folks I'm concerned about crashing my reception as well and toyed with the idea of security ... but I think I'm just going to let things happen and PRAY that everything goes off w/o a hitch and there's no drama.

I might have to have security there... ugh too much drama... I have a year, so we will see where the cards fall.

We have mental health techs as groom, DJ, Baker and guests... we have it built in we can just put unruly guest into a TCI hold.!

I'm considering hiring security for my wedding especially after getting back RSVP cards with guest changing the number allowed. I would have to say my guests surprisingly are the ones that seem to give me the most headaches regarding my wedding plans. After advising a strict guest count my friends follow the rules but my family seems to I guess ignore the fact that I just cannot add their friends etc, it's just not for everyone. Therefore some people will get embarrassed that day. Oh yes and also no children outside the wedding party would not be allowed to the reception so I definitely want to hire security, someone who does not have any ties to the family, just there for business but polite.

Could use some ideas on security for our wedding. Just need one person and don’t need to be in uniform. Mother in law to be drama and don’t need our day messed up because of her. 🥺
