High Quality Silk Petals?

Chelsea, on January 29, 2011 at 4:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

So, I've decided to do silk flowers for my wedding. I want all of my flowers to either be silk or real, so since I am doing silk flower arrangements, I want silk flower petals. I bought the natural/real/true touch flowers from Hobby Lobby, but I am having a hard time finding petals that are of that quality.

So, does anyone know of a website or even a store I can go to for high-quality, silk petals? I don't want those sheer, paper-thin petals that definitely look fake. They don't necessarily HAVE to be natural/real/true touch. If it helps, I am using them on my tables at the reception and for my flower girl to throw down the aisle.

TIA for any help you may be able to give me! Smiley smile

I know Oriental trading has silk flower petals but I don't know the quality. I went to G & G Saturday, It's about 45 minutes from me, but they have a website you can order from. It's gandgwebstore.com. They have really nice stuff. I bought candles for the tables and two different bouquets that I want to duplicate myself for pew decorations. I bought some other stuff too. I'm going to purchase the flowers from silkflowersfactory.com because I can get more for less. But both should be a good start for you. I know the flowers at g & g are really nice, since I seen them in person. My bouquets I'm getting from an etsy seller. They are made of satin and are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for who ever recommended her. I get my first bouquet Monday or Tuesday. I know I'm going to love it and order the rest, plus boutonnieres. Her site is etsy.com/people.joenet2 if you’re interested in that too. Good luck.

You could use the cheaper ones on the aisle as they are so far away from people's eyes if that makes sense? I would definitely do more expensive on the tables (if not real) as they are right there in front of the guests.

    Hi Chelsea,

I have used this website for a lot of my craft projects and I've always been happy with their product.

I have never bought their flower petals, but they look really nice and the prices aren't bad. They even have freeze dried flower petals. It might be worth a try.

    Good Luck!

Bridget, I bought mine from PetalGarden.com, I believe. It has been so long that I am not 100% sure, but I do remember that the place I got them from gave me samples to look at. While they were not true touch, they were high quality, thick, and did not look fake.

Here is the link to the sample portion of their website:

I got samples from petals garden and was extremely disappointed. They felt and looked fake. The quality was bad. To thin and you could tell it was not silk. The ones I ordered from amazon were better!
