Hidden Mickey Help, and Disney Inpiration!

Tracy, on July 6, 2013 at 5:13 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 22

Ok so my theme is Disney! I love the idea of incorporating hidden Mickeys into my decor! Any suggestions on how to do this? I've decided to expand this topic, because I want to be able to post my inspiration as I receive it!

Ohh what about him peeking out of the tier of a cake....I don't have a pic but I have seen it where there was a tiny (i'm talking about pinky nail size I think) spiderman peeking under the fondant on a cake...you could do that with mickey

You have have him somewhere on the cake. Could do floral arrangements with somehow having the flowers in the shape of a Mickey head.

Can you get a little Mickey head embroidered onto your dress in the same color as you dress? Heel clips, hair pins? In the design of the menus or placeards or programs?

They're kinda expensive but maybe they can inspire some diy projects for you. Check out impressions-making themes come true on Facebook. They are the official Disney vendor for stationary, favors, signage and such. Really cute stuff you should check out

You can add a little mickey head to the corners of stuff. Just like how it is on some of the Disney pins for pin trading, with hidden mickeys. Maybe even get some pins that focus on wedding stuff if you can find any and add them to like the bouquets and boutenniers.

For the cake you can also do little polka dots in 3's so that it looks like mickey but still very wedding and elegant. Kind of like the picture but maybe closer together.

Here's a link to my photographer. She had a couple that did a Disneyland theme. I really liked how they did the place cards and table names. They didn't go all out with it or anything but there are a few details that are nice.

Also, another Disney touch. This is a link to Disney paper models. They're free BUT they take a lot of time and work but i know a few Disney brides who have done and they turned out awesome. They have a lot of classic Disney attractions.

Also, here's a link for disney's wedding stuff. I was thinking of doing some details Disney since we are at Disneyland like 3-5x a year and love it but decided against it. I love the champagne flutes and the mickey and minnie bride and groom stuff. I think the bobble heads might be really cute for a cake topper.

It could be trickier but placing lighting so Mickey shadows are on the walls. If you google image hidden mickeys, you could tweak the actual hidden mickeys that are in the park to adapt to your wedding space!
