Just Said Yes April 2022

Hey ladies! I'm torn between two dresses and am hoping for some feedback.

Haley, on December 9, 2020 at 3:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 46

I've narrowed my search down to two dresses that are the same shape (mermaid) but have very different detailing on them. One has a lot of beading and a long formal train, and the other dress has a wonderful white lace but is definitely more on the simpler side.

Dress #1 : Allure Couture Bridal c568

Dress #2 : Suzanne Neville Athena (will have an oyster/champagne lining instead of the grey that is currently used in the dress I tried on in the photos)

I would love to get some feedback on which one I should go with Smiley smile

In terms of venue, we are having our wedding in Chicago in a typical loft/big windows sort of space. Think lots of candles and string lights haha. We don't plan on going super formal with our decorations and I really want to be sure that I don't clash my dress with the vibe of the space. Our venue options right now are Greenhouse Loft, Room 1520, and Skyline Loft.

I also want to be able to dance my butt off haha so I don't know if the train will be a hassle.

Thanks in advance!

I am a sucker for lace and I am a sucker for long trains and beading however I love the way number 2 is on you so number 2 gets my vote

I would say If you could bustle your train, I vote the first one!! However if bustling is an issue (it was with my dress, and my train was the length of your second dress) I would go with dress 2 for dancing! It was soo hard to dance with a train dragging behind me.

OMG #1!! 🤩 It’s simply stunning on you! And I think it will reflect the vibe of your venues the best too- it’s more modern; whereas the lace dress has a more rustic, “wedding in a barn” vibe.

I love the dramatic train of the first one but like the silhouette of the second one better. I don't think you'd be going wrong with either one! A friend of mine got married at Room 1520 last year and she loved it 😊.

I’m voting for dress #1! It’s very flattering on you & shows off your figure. I love the way the bottom is- kind of has a floating look to it, like you’re walking on a cloud!

1st one!! My jaw dropped when I saw it, the second one seems too simple, at least for my taste and you only get married once!

They're both beautiful and I don't think you can make a wrong decision. I personally like the first one better but the second is beautiful as well. I've been to a wedding at Bridgeport Art Center (Skyline Loft) and it was an absolutely gorgeous venue. I think either dress would work well at this venue
