Hey everyone tell us what type of food that everyone is having. Rather it's a buffet style, sit down dinner etc. We would love to hear from you it can help someone else for some ideas. So for myself we are having a buffet style dinner we have alot of our guest that have certain food restrictions. So this way that every guest would been able to have a choice and eat. So I told them to write a few food restrictions so our caterers will know. Come and share with us past and soon to be or recent

We had heavy appetizers with an unlimited open bar followed by BBQ which included prime rib, tri tip, chicken and pork ribs as well as Mac and cheese, greens, yams and cole slaw. We needed a lot of food to soak up all the alcohol people were drinking.

For cocktail hour we had a cold food station, passed hot hors d'ourves and a slider station with mini burgers, pulled pork and fried chicken.

For the main course we did a buffet and it had a Caesar salad, chicken Jaclyn (Grilled Chicken Breast, Topped with Prosciutto, Red Peppers & Mozzarella Cheese, Served with a White Wine Cream Sauce with Diced Tomatoes & Lump Crab Meat), teriyaki salmon, red roasted potatoes and string beans, 3 cheese pasta and a meat craving table.

I'm still thinking about that food now! lol

We are having a big cocktail hour with passed appetizers, a Mediterranean station, pasta station and a choice of another station but we haven’t decided which yet. Dinner is a salad course and a choice between 3 entrées. Wedding cake, plus cookies and mini Italian pastries. We go for our tasting about 10 weeks before our date. And open bar! I’m sure no one is leaving hungry!

We are getting married at a great seafood restaurant on the south bay of long island, so cocktail hour will be on the dock itself with a raw bar, 9 passed appetizers including sushi and baked clams, 2 pasta stations, 2 carving stations, 3 hot chafing dishes, a hot soup and a fruit/veggie/cheese display.. Then a 4 course sit down dinner starting with a salad, then crab cake, with a choice of 3 entrees (grouper, tenderloin and lamb) followed by cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries & pastries on each table with wedding cake (cannoli with chocolate chips). We are foodies( he's a restaurant manager and I'm a pastry chef) so we wanted the food to be over the top! Oh and a hot pretzel bar as an exit station!

We are having a rustic themed wedding, on the website we collected people's food restrictions. We're doing a BBQ buffet with several vegan options as well as a vegetarian pasta dish so all can enjoy a meal not excluding the carnivores we're having brisket and chicken also.

Hi Barbara Congratulations my mouth was watering and jaw dropping after reading your cocktail hour. I can tell that you guys are foodies of the amount and selections that you have given choices for your guest to choose from. And then your reception menu is good as well I just hope that they have room lol for the 4 course dinner. And your dessert table and that you are a pastries chef is great. Wow I would have been stuff and do a take home box of all of that yummiest to enjoy at home later.😊Thank you so much for sharing your comments with us.

Thank you! I'm excited for everyone to enjoy the delicious choices. The good thing is that the portions are not superhuge, I need people to eat well so they can enjoy the top shelf bar and not get too tipsy!
