Help!

Depends on how many hours they will be taking the pictures for and how many people. I would google average costs. I only paod $235 gor engagement pics and about the same for wedding.

Take a look at thumbtack.com for a photographer. Price depends on where you are located and what you're getting. No two couples are paying the same price or getting the same amount and type of pictures.

It depends on how long they'll each be taking pictures. Also, are they professional photographers or is it just more like an everyday person taking photos? I ask that because if they're professional then they'll have to edit the pictures which would take more time

View Quoted Comment That definitely plays a roll because an everyday person who takes photos wouldn't need as much time outside of the wedding to get them back to you. Now on the other hand a professional photographer would take weeks editing most of the pictures.


Did you not ask them how much they would charge you when you guys agreed to it? Or was it one of those "you can pay me whatever/nothing" type situations?

Personally, I would never expect or want family to work on my wedding day especially taking photos on such an important day. However, my advice is to research newer photographers in your area to see what they charge then go from there.
