It’s recommended to start looking and trying on dresses 8-10 months out and ordering no later than 6 months. So you’ll probably want to start as soon as possible.

I would say immediately because it takes awhile for it to come back. You’ll want to have time for alterations as well.

I think now is a good time to start. Some designer take longer than 6 months while others as short as 4 months. You want to make sure you have enough time for alterations after.

You should go today. It can take a long time to come in plus alterations.

It is recommended to order your dress at least 10 months before your wedding. This is to allow time for your dress to be ordered, delivered, and give you time to have alterations done. So, I would start looking and purchase your dress ASAP!

I am getting married 6/19/20. I bought mine in August. I bought it a size down, and I will have my first fitting in March. I would definitely go start shopping now!

You should look now! It takes a while for the dress to come in. I am getting married on 8/29/20, I ordered mine in July, and it hasn't come in yet.

I’m getting married 5/22/20. I started shopping the last week of September. By the first week of October, I found my dress and placed my order. October 30th I got an email from the boutique that my dress would be shipped out from the designer by 1/28/20 and then 5-7 business days to reach the boutique. I say if there is a definitive place(s) that you are thinking about, inquire about timelines on making and also alterations to help you a more informed decision.
