Help

Okay due to the covid -19 we had to change our wedding to 08/29/20 so my question is where is a nice place to go on a honeymoon in September?

If you're wanting a Caribbean honeymoon and want to avoid a hurricane, you could pick an island below the hurricane belt like St. Lucia or Grenada. We're going to Grenada for our August honeymoon! At least I hope we are! Hoping they open their borders back up by then. 😬

Heads up, hurricanes love to pop up in September in the Caribbean. I've been through some. I figure try a closer island like Jamaica just in case you need to get back to the states quickly. Too bad Cuba is out that's beautiful too, but all the islands are.

If it were me, I would look into a short honeymoon within the US & plan a more "normal" honeymoon later - just due to safety & restriction concerns. If you do plan a honeymoon I would highly recommend investing in honeymoon insurance just in case travel is still restricted. Also make sure to read the fine print on any cancelling or rescheduling clauses.

Now in normal times I would recommend Jamaica! Beautiful beaches, friendly people, and very affordable! They have a ton of all inclusive resorts.

Europe, Hawaii, any place that doesn't have hurricanes. Flights in September tend to be cheaper than the summer so that's a positive at least!

I would personally wait a while longer to fly anywhere, especially wait on booking anything new!

I agree with PPs. I would maybe go for a minimoon someplace, and wait a bit to book the longer one. We don't know what travel restrictions are going to be in place, and September is not a great travel month, anyway.

I agree with others, maybe traveling local and then planning something bigger at a later date, and whatever you book, get insurance
