Help!!!!

Rachel, on June 29, 2020 at 10:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 39
So I am having a serious issue. I apparently chose a dress color for my bridesmaids (Biscotti) that is near impossible to match a shoe with. We decided on a bronze metallic after reading you have to go with a metallic or loud type shoe to offset the color of the dress. I have been looking my bridesmaids have been looking and I am striking out! Has anyone else run into this issue and what do I do? My jr bridesmaid has already gotten her shoes in the bronze metallic it is just my adults that cannot find anything.

Do you have to use bronze? Gold will be easier to find.

"Bronze metallic" is extremely specific. Are your bridesmaids wearing short dresses? If not, literally no one will see their shoes. I would do something more common, and that they will wear again, like nude, gold, or champagne.

Nude looks very blah. It almost meshes right with the dress and clashes you miss the shoe completely.

But does it really matter? Will anyone see their shoes?

Honestly, my bridesmaids wore knee-length dresses and at no point in time did I look at their feet. I suggested gold or rose gold shoes to go with the light pink dresses. I couldn't tell you if that's what they wore and most photos don't really show their shoes (either the feet are not in the picture or it's far enough away that you can't see). If they are wearing long dresses, no one will see their shoes.

Are your bridesmaids dresses long or short? If they're long, then nobody will be able to see the shoes anyway.

Shoes totally matter, even if they can't be seen, you should be able to pick something you like! Is it the david's bridal biscotti that is the bridesmaid dress color? If so, I feel like you could easily pick up on the ivory in your color scheme with that color and it would look very pretty. Are they carrying flowers if so what colors?

I can imagine if you are committed to bronze metallic, the search may prove difficult as that is very specific. If you are focusing on consistent style, comfort, heel type, and color, that is a lot of limiting factors in finding the "perfect' shoe. You may have to take one off, or be very patient in your search!

I'd choose a different color for the Bridesmaid and if your Jr BM already has her shoes, just buy her a new pair. Much easier to replace one versus how many BMs you have.

Also consider custom dying or just a nude color - nude matches everything.

I'm not sure if you want sandals, heels, flats, closed toe but here's another option.
