Help!

Natalia, on August 19, 2019 at 1:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

So I found my dream dress I absolutely LOVE it!!! Only thing that I want to change are the straps. My dress is a v-neck, but the straps are a little too thick for my liking and I feel like they cover my collar bone area too much. Has anyone else had this problem and maybe made their straps a little thinner or possibly made their dress an off the shoulder? Even maybe changed it to a sweetheart neckline?

Changing the straps shouldn't be an issue. Making it off the shoulder could get a little more complicated since off the shoulder straps don't hold up the weight of the dress like regular straps do. I would imagine that changing the entire neckline could get costly.

I think I might just make the straps a little thinner since my dress is a princess/ball gown. Hope it's not crazy expensive to do this!

I bet you could make the straps thinner! I'm sure a seamstress will be able to give you lots of suggestions!

Hey Natalia! Have you discussed these changes with your seamstress yet?
