Yay! Congratulations! I think these forums are a great place to start. Starting a board on Pinterest to plan and get inspiration is also very helpful.
One of the first things to do after you set a date is to book a venue, as they get booked so quickly/far in advance!

Next I would work on putting together a wedding party (if you want one) or just a group of people to help you and your fiancé out with wedding preparations.
    Happy planning!

I would start a pinterest board but first and foremost discuss a budget so you know how many people you can invite and plan for other things.

Congrats! First thing I would do is create your budget. That will dictate what venues, vendors, dresses etc. you look at.

I would start by setting a budget. From there, I’d begin researching venues. This will help you narrow down your date. But also venues book up very quick, so the sooner you can book one, the better.

    Yay! Congrats! My personal suggestions:
    1. Set a budget
    2. Make a guest list. I say this should be second because it really helps keep things into perspective when you’re venue shopping and gives you a rough estimate of cost. 3. Venue shop.(keep in mind when venue shopping its much easier to find a venue/ or catering that provides linens and plate ware etc. some venues also work with exclusive caterers and provide wedding planners which will help.)4. Let the planning of everything from invitations to colors and cake begin!

    Me.
    1. Told everyone.
    2. Picked a date. (Before a venue like a crazy woman but I️ love The date.)3. Guest List4. Venue5. Budget (like a crazy woman I’m doing this now. 🤦🏽‍♀️) 6. Engagement photos7. Did my “will you be my..” bridesmaid/maid of honor/matron of honor/groomsmen announcements8. Picked my officiant. (I️ actually did this after 4 but I’ll be paying the deposit for her next week.)9. Right now I’m doing all the things that don’t require me to spend money which is making my save the date designs and FH parents said they would pay for the invites so just getting my ducks in a row for that.

Hi Talia, congratulations, so exciting for you, as the other girls have said, create your budget, and figure out how many people you can invite. Find your venue asap as they can be booked up 2 years ahead, also book a photographer because they also can be booked up 2 years out.
Now if your venue is a large hotel or conference/event center they may offer you a package that would include include food, bev.,photographer and wedding coordinator, so check around.
I would advise you to look online at the different styles of wedding dresses to get an idea of what you like or dislike before you start trying them on, and I would tell you to bring as few people as possible Help 1
This is my Stella York dream dressHelp 2

when you go, otherwise you get to many opinions and you can end up trying to please others instead of picking YOUR dream dress. For me, dress shopping was the most exciting part, I tried on over 40 before I stopped, I actually found my dream dress at about number 20, but I loved trying them so much ❤️ I didn't want to stop! Check out the Casablanca and Stella York lines, my dress is a Stella York. The second dress is a Casablanca, my runner up! Have fun!
