Help!

Nicole, on September 12, 2021 at 8:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
Our wedding date is August 13, 2022, and all we have done is booked our wedding date at Miller Place Inn. So now with less than a year, i am stressed with what to do next! Is 11 months enough time to plan a wedding for 70 people?

A wedding can definitely be planned in 11 months! Now that you have your estimated guest count and booked your venue, start looking for other vendors (photographer, DJ, etc), and setup appointments to look at dresses. Also determine your budget. Look into using the checklist either here on Wedding Wire or on The Knot to help keep your planning on track. Always feel free to post questions on these forums if you run into roadblocks. Happy wedding planning!

Plenty of time! I'd start to look for the dress first, since some require long-ish time frames to come in - as long as 12-18 months for some brands! Most are a bit shorter than that, but you do need to leave time to have it altered as well as it coming in. They recommended I leave 3 months for the alterations I wanted done, for example.

Then just start to slowly choose your other vendors.

Actually start with your budget. Figure out how much of it goes to catering, bar costs, attire, etc. There are budget calculators online. That way you'll know how much you can spend on your dress etc.

Sounds like you’re right where you need to be. I would say your next step would be hiring your planner/coordinator.

It can be done but with the "wedding boom" it might be difficult to find vendors - most are getting booked up like crazy and are already booking for 2023. I have all my vendors booked for my October 2022 wedding.

Caterers and photographers should be your priority as they book out years in advance.

If you don't have a planner amazon has amazing ones for a good price but your focus at this point should be your dress and your vendors. You got this hun just keep going.
