So I said yes to my dress last weekend and they placed the order for it... my wedding date is 8/22/21 how soon should I make my alteration appointment? (The dress hasn’t come back yet)

Right once you get it. My dress took 3 months to arrive and another 3 months for alterations. This was before Covid hit.. I ended up postponing for this year (August 2021 as well).

I agree! I'd get started on alterations right when you get your dress in!!
It depend on the person and the dress - but most brides have at least 2-3 alterations appointments, so it can easily take over a month!
