Help with the Bouquet & Garter Toss

Rebekah, on January 7, 2020 at 9:49 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

I'm getting married at the end of February so I'm really stressing on making the little decisions right now. My problem is that I want to do the Bouquet & Garter Toss but I have a mermaid style dress and I think it would be hard to do the garter toss because getting it off my leg would be a struggle because of the dress style. My questions are…… Should I just not do a garter toss and do a bouquet toss? Or should I just not do any of them? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

If you’re worried I would just stick to the bouquet toss!! I personally am not doing the garter or bouquet toss to save a little $!!

You can do them both, one or the other, or neither. Lots of brides go with each of those options, there's no right or wrong way! Smiley smile

I have the same concern as you, my dress is a fit and flare, but I'm planning on the garter and bouquet toss, dress is Stella York 6979 if you care to see it!

You could always buy a cheap toss garter that you don't wear. Just keep it in your clutch or have you MOH hold on to it and you can give it to your FH when the time comes. That way you can still do the garter toss, and don't have to worry about your dress! Smiley smile

Can you have the garter by your knee?

I just received my garter the other day and I have the same situation lol. So, I plan on putting it on right before the garter and bouquet toss. I do have another dress that I thought about changing into during the reception, that would get rid of this problem.
