Help with shoes! (lots of pics)

Katrina, on June 14, 2020 at 3:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I feel so lost looking for shoes. FH and I are the same height so I'm definitely going with flats, I cant walk in heels anyway. I found a bunch that I like but I can't seem to decide, I don't know if its because I cant try them on or what. So I'm looking for any opinions you can give me! I'm including a pic of my dress, a close up of the dress design, my hair clip, as well as the shoes I have my eye on.

I agree it has to be really hard to decide without being able to try them on. The only practical advice I can share is that if the bottom of your dress has layers of tulle/crinoline to make it full, sometimes brides have posted that shoes with a lot of jewels and embellishments end up catching on those layers of fabric. If that happens, it can range from just annoying (your shoe gets caught on the skirt...) to potentially damaging the fabric with pulls or even tears. Also, I'm all about comfort over anything else, especially since you'll likely be in your shoes for ~12 hours. Daughter originally bought a pair of sparkly flats, but they rubbed and hurt her feet. She ended up wearing Converse under her ballgown (not for everyone, I know...), but she walked, stood, and danced like a wild woman in them for 12 hours in complete comfort! Smiley winking Good luck!

All of these are so pretty. I like the last pair the most. My thing is maybe think about which pair you like the most beyond the wedding that you’d wear

I agree with Melle. I like the last pair of shoes best with your dress.

The first pair and the pair from JJ’s were my favorite.
I’m wearing Toms in sunflower yellow under my dress and my bridesmaids are wearing navy blue Toms. Plus then we can easily rewear them in our day to day lives. I’m all about the comfortable and multipurpose life.

I love the first one!!! But I have a thing with closed toe shoes and long dresses. So for me it’s the open toe.

The last pair are my favorite as i feel like they go best with the dress - if they were to show at all, they arent dramatic enough to take the focus off of the dress. i think they are simple, which is ideal for your look. not to mention, they can be easily repurposed for everyday life, which is always a plus. i also really love the second pair. i definitely understand that it must be difficult to decide without being able to try them on, but there is peace of mind in that you seriously cannot go wrong with any of them. comfort would typically play a role in this decision, but you will be unable to determine the level of comfort without trying them on so i would base it simply on reviews and personal preference of the look. good luck!!! I love the last pair! Ive seen them on pinterest many times. Also, but I also heard that you should try breaking in your shoes a couple weeks before the wedding so that they are good to go. Sometimes pointed flats can be uncomfortable towards the front when they are brand new. Just something to consider.
