Help with linens!

Hello ladies,

originally my sweetheart tables and cocktail tables were going to be champagne. My wedding decor designer has suggested blush instead (theme colors: blush/rose gold and gold). She suggested polyester blush tablecloths for the sweetheart/cake table, but that seems so plain to me. She said sequins often seem to be too much in photos. Before I pull the trigger and purchase I wanted some opinions: I'm thinking of the velvet blush for my sweetheart and cake table, the plain polyester blush for a couple of cocktail rounds, and blush sequins for the dessert bar. What are your thoughts--do you think the velvet blush is weird in May, do you think have sequins will be distracting on the dessert bar, or should I just stay with plain polyester? Any other comments? thanks!

Personal opinion... the velvet may look a little heavy for a Spring wedding. I usually think of velvet as a Fall/Winter fabric. I think the polyester blush looks very pretty in the picture you posted. But I think sequin tablecloths are gorgeous! What kind of look/theme are you having for your wedding? Is that the reason your designer thought sequins would be “too much”? Other than not fitting with your theme, I couldn’t imagine why she would say that. I’ve been to several weddings with full sequin tablecloths and they looked amazing (both in person and in pictures)! I think if you like the sequins, you should go for them!!

That's what I was thinking for spring too. I'm getting married in a theater. It has an art deco vibe. Pic attached. I just felt like I needed something with more pizzazz and plain didnt do it. I'm not sure why she said no sequins, she just said it can be overwhelming in photos.

I think the polyester blush is a great choice! I don't think sequin table runners would be crazy or overwhelming. It's a fun way to add a bit of flair! It's your wedding, and if you want sequins, sequins you should get!

It looks like a rather large space- I think sequins would definitely add a little glitz without being overwhelming!

I also think champagne tablecloths would go perfectly with the Art Deco sort of look at the venue
