I really want real flowers for my center pieces but florist is trying to charge me alot. My wedding is in June and I want hydrangeas and Rose's. what is your opinion on real verses artificial flowers?

100% prefer real flowers. They are prettier & the colors are more vibrant, and they smell amazing. If you really want real flowers, I would email multiple florists- send them photos of the overall vibe you are going for with the floral decor and give them your budget. They should be able to come up with suggestions & options for you within your budget.

Another option would be to purchase your florals in bulk from Sam’s Club or Costco and do them yourself. I know they offer both roses and hydrangeas, as well as greenery, and at a much lower cost! My cousin went this route and they turned out beautiful

I think real flowers are more preferable if you have the budget but if not then honestly there's plenty of faux flowers now that'll do the trick

Buy them from a wholesaler and do the arrangements yourself!! You'll save SO MUCH money. I'm doing all of my flowers for $1000ish (probably a little under) I was quoted closer to $3k from a florist.

I did my own hydrangea centerpieces for my first wedding. They are fragile in that they wilt fast, but also made for full but simple centerpieces with just two or three heads in a vase. As long as you aren’t finicky on the exact arrangement, and have someone to transport and set them out, it’s an easy DIY and then just hire out the bouquets.

I am using hydrangeas in my centerpieces and can not afford real flowers so these are mine. It is hard to see but I have a fish bowl case with pearlescent rock and fairy lights in them. The other tall flowers will go on my gift table and guest book table. The only thing missing from my centerpieces is a number that will stick out of the middle of the flowers. These are not finished yet as I still have 8 months but it’s close!!Help with flowers 1

We rented silk flowers, and they look great in photos and you can’t even tell they’re fake unless you look at them close up. With the lights being dimmed at our venue, you can’t really tell. Our only real flowers are the bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. We decided to do both to save money, but still get the large centerpieces that we wanted.

When I originally got my floral quote, I almost fell over. I considered using fake flowers instead, but when I did some investigating, the fake flowers cost just as much as the real flowers... Garden roses are the most expensive roses, ask your florist for the cheapest rose option.. perhaps you can add in more greenery? Seeded eucalyptus?

Have you gotten quotes from other vendors?

My first florist quoted me $4,300.I ran away.My second florist quoted me $2,400 and was able to give me suggestions that still achieved the look I was going for.
